Testing AnyConnect SSL VPN Prior to Your Rack Session

Last updated: November 10, 2018

To ensure that everything will work properly when your session begins, you may use an INE test SSL VPN account to install the SSL AnyConnect client and connect to our VPN portal prior to your rack session.

To start this test SSL VPN session, point your browser to the following URL and use the accompanying user name and password:

https://co51vpn.ine.com/

Username: coracktest
Password: coracktest

Download the Cisco AnyConnect client and install it on your local computer. Open the Cisco AnyConnect client and enter the same URL and credentials you used above to download the client.

After this, you should be able to verify your connectivity by pinging the following IP address of a loopback on the VPN endpoint: 11.254.254.254:

host$ ping 11.254.254.254
PING 11.254.254.254 (11.254.254.254): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 11.254.254.254: icmp_seq=0 ttl=125 time=45.243 ms
64 bytes from 11.254.254.254: icmp_seq=1 ttl=125 time=32.706 ms
64 bytes from 11.254.254.254: icmp_seq=0 ttl=125 time=38.713 ms
64 bytes from 11.254.254.254: icmp_seq=1 ttl=125 time=35.596 ms

This test verifies that your VPN link was successfully established. When you start your lab rack session, change the user name and password to match the information you received in the rack reservation confirmation message.

During a rack session, you will also be able to ping this loopback address when you are connected to your rack using SSL VPN.
